Kim joined BMO in August 2021 from RBC where she was the Global Head of the Client, Banking & Digital Channels Technology group across Capital Markets. Kim developed and implemented a comprehensive client data strategy adopted by Capital Markets, sunset legacy applications and united the global salesforce under a single CRM instance. Prior to joining RBC, Kim ran the API Connectivity Development team at ICAP and was part of the initial launch of BrokerTec. She has also held multiple technology positions across the street with Deutsche Bank, Mizuho and Chase Securities. Kim received a BA from Stockton University in accounting.

Travis Pierce is a Co-Founder and Head of Engineering and Partner Strategies for Investment Management Fintech Strategies (IMFS), and Vanguard Fintech Ventures (VFV). IMFS is a skunkworks R&D team located within Vanguard’s Investment Management Group with a mission to actively explore and experiment with technologies that can drastically improve investment performance, lower costs and reduce risk, or make the capital markets more efficient. Prior to his role in IMFS, he has held multiple development roles for IMG globally for Vanguard, as well as externally at startups. Most recently he was a Chief of Staff for the Head of Investment Technology at Vanguard. Outside of work, Mr. Pierce enjoys sailing, golfing, and skiing.
Jean Roberts has a PhD in strategy and applied statistics and worked in financial services for 16 years before beginning her Field CTO role at DataRobot. She is extremely passionate about technology, specifically artificial intelligence and machine learning, and has transformed 5 organizations with AI/ML. Her current professional interests are helping financial organizations innovate and scale AI/ML, learning more about technological architecture, and making scalable, flexible choices that don't create too much technical debt. She resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
Ryo has abundant experience in software engineering and its applications in financial markets, and is passionate about solving complex business problems using software. Prior to joining Beacon in 2017, Ryo spent ten years at Goldman Sachs Asia where he built and headed the APAC Equities Franchise Market Making desk and led the APAC Equities One Delta Strategies group. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ryo spent five years at The Mathworks, Inc. developing software for its flagship products, MATLAB and Simulink. Ryo serves as Representative Director of Beacon Platform K.K., and works closely with Beacon’s Customers and Partners.
Michael Slavik serves as the Head of Real-Time Platform Technology in Bloomberg's Enterprise Data division. The Enterprise Data product suite provides Bloomberg customers with the highest quality reference, valuation, regulatory, accounting, and pricing data distributed, ready to use, via lightweight deployment agnostic technology. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he worked at NBCUniversal concentrating on the distribution of media assets via direct fiber, satellite, and streaming solutions and served in the US Navy. Mike holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
Don Huff is the Global Head of Client Services and Operations for Bloomberg’s Data Management Services (DMS) business. Bloomberg’s DMS business provides organizations with the tools and services to streamline the acquisition, management, and distribution of their data from multiple sources through private cloud-based data management capabilities. Mr. Huff joined Bloomberg in 2004 and has held leadership roles in various divisions within Bloomberg L.P., including Global Data, Customer Service, Enterprise Technology Sales, and Event Driven Feeds Product Development division.

Robert T. Thompson is responsible for developing business with Veritas Technologies’ most critical clients and partners. He has over 20 years of experience in technology leadership and his industry expertise in security and information management spans many vertical industries including financial services, pharmaceuticals, bio-technology, manufacturing and insurance. Prior to joining Veritas, Thompson held various sales and marketing leadership positions at Automatic Data Process and eCredit, Inc. Thompson graduated Magna Cum Lauda from Stonehill College [BS] and holds a Masters in Business Administration [MBA] for the Yale School of Management.

Brian Bernstein is a Senior Partner Solutions Architect at AWS where he specializes in Capital Markets and particularly with market data platforms. Prior to AWS, Brian led global teams in the high speed, high volume data capture and analytics space and was responsible for critical applications at top multinational banks. Despite his leadership roles and team sizes reaching triple digits, he has always been deep in the technical details and very hands on. In his spare time, he enjoys his family, the outdoors, playing music, and retro computing.
Balaji Gopalan is a Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, where he guides financial services customers to build highly secure, operationally efficient, reliable, performant, and cost-efficient applications on the cloud. Balaji brings over 22 years of Financial Services experience, working at both the buy side (at a Quant Hedge fund) and the Sell side (Morgan Stanley), where he focused on electronic trading, algorithmic trading, data and analytics across Equities and Fixed Income divisions. Balaji holds a Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from Madras University.

Ryan has an MBA from the UChicago Booth School of Business and a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Peter leads the AWS technical team responsible for Financial Services Partners worldwide. His team sets the cloud transformation strategy that helps global banks and insurers innovate in the cloud through software and consulting providers. Peter’s experience enabling organizational and technical change within financial services organizations spans over thirty years at companies including Bank of America, AIG, and Royal Bank of Scotland. Peter has a BS in Computer Science Engineering from Columbia University.
